Easy win and qualification to the next round!
After the impressive victory in the first game, the women's volleyball beat CHEV Diekirch (3-0) in Luxemburg in 57 minutes. The CEV Challenge Cup titleholders got two clear victories and qualified to the next round. The next opponent will be the French team, Volero.
Key action:
Olympiacos was the absolute favourite and proved its superiority taking the first set with 25-12 in 18 minutes. In the second set, the hosts tried to react and were more competitive. The score was 11-11 when the Greek team did a 10-2 run and finally, got it (25-14) ensuring the qualification to the next round. The ‘’Reds’’ also led the third set easily and celebrated another victory. Nikologianni was the top scorer with 10 points and Zakchaiou added 9.

The Head Coach, Branko Kovacevic stated: “The game was more difficult than the first one as the Diekirch was improved. We were serious and didn’t have any problem. We got a clear and easy win and qualified to the next round. All the players were used so as to pace themselves. In the largest part of the game, we were very good and this makes us stronger in the view of the next games’’.
