Qualified to the CEV CUP semi-finals!

 

 The men’s volleyball team celebrated the qualification to the CEV CUP semi-finals overturning the score of the first game and winning the golden set against Burga. The “Reds’’ won 3-0, led in the golden set with 15-11 and reached a great success. The “Legend’’ had an impressive performance and celebrated the qualification having the support of the fans and continues the European journey against Trentino. The first game will be held on 26 February in Renti aiming to overcome a strong opponent and qualify to another European final.

1st set: 8-2, 16-10, 21-17, 25-23,

2nd set: 8-5, 16-9, 21-13, 25-17

3rd set:  8-7, 16-11, 21-16, 25-19

4th set: 5-3, 10-8, 12-10, 15-11

The Head Coach, Fernando Munoz Benitez stated: "We knew it would be a very difficult game not only tactically  but also psychologically. We had to win four sets to get into the semifinals. I am very happy for everyone, players, technical staff and those who work for this team. The players did their best having the fans’ support and I am very pleased with it. We continue to work strongly to reach higher’’.  

The Head Coach, Kostas Christofidelis mentioned: "We are very happy. What we did today, was very difficult. Burgas is a very competitive team with world-class players in its squad. We have proven that we have the soul and passion beyond talent and have been able to win a very difficult game. We are happy for two reasons, as we managed to win and qualify, and we will face the world champion, Trentino in the semi-finals. We must continue hard-working and being focused on our goals. Whenever the world is on our side, we do our best and need their support to qualify to the final’’.
