Dominated against Mladost!

The men’s water polo team had an impressive performance winning Mladost with 14-6 in Croatia and did another important step for the qualification to the Final-8 in Hannover (Germany). After the great victory against Szolnoki, the European Champions celebrated a very important win having an excellent performance. The “Reds’’ had a strong defense keeping the Croatian team scoreless for 12 minutes and boosted a good margin. Moreover, the Greek team took advantage of the Verona’s draw against Jug in Italy, reducing the difference to two points which will face in the last game in Papastrateio. The next game is against Spandau in Germany (13/4).

The Head Coach, Thodoris Vlachos stated: "We were expecting a stronger game. We knew that we should be very careful in the last four games, as we need at least three victories to qualify to the Final-8. Today, we were very careful and well-prepared for a tough opponent. We got a clear victory in an important game for us as we were very good defensively. We didn’t start the season well but want to defend our title. Olympiacos is a top club. Our first goal is to qualify to the Final-8. There, the games will be completely different and we will fight to defend our title".
