Statements:
Giorgos Panteleakis stated: "First of all, congratulations to Fenerbahce for the victory. This was our first game in the competition and our inexperience was obvious. But the passion of our players will make us more competitive in the next games. The interruption affected us as we controlled the game at that moment. Of course, we were anxious but stress makes us better. If we aren’t anxious, we don’t have any incentive. Our motivation was high but if you lose the concentration for three minutes, you are back in the score’’.
Katerina Sotiriou mentioned: "I would like to congratulate Fenerbache for the victory. We are very happy to start playing in Euroleague. We were very anxious but helped us to claim the victory. Hope that this defeat will improve us in the next games and we have to understand that the other teams are at high level. We have to be more ready so as to achieve better results. I didn’t expect so many fans. Olympiacos fans are everywhere and I would like to thank them very much as they helped us during the game’’.
