Dominant against Namur!

Olympiacos won Namur with 70-41 at Peace and Friendship Stadium and made an excellent premiere at the Women's Eurocup. The “Reds’’ dominated from the first moment and had a perfect performance winning comfortably.

The Belgian team couldn’t react and Olympiacos led with 12 points in the first period. The first half ended with a 19-lead for the “Reds’’ which had the match under control. The difference remained in the second half at the same levels and Olympiacos got an easy 29-point victory. Jessica Thomas was the top scorer with 17 points and Graves added 11.

George Pantelakis stated: "We knew that we should stop the Namur box offence and Vanderwal creation. We did it very well, our players were focused on the plan and they deserve my congratulations. We created many phases and had several choices offensively and keep winning. We are getting better and better and now are focusing on the game against PAOK for the Greek Championship and the one against Valencia in Spain’’. 

Jessica Thomas mentioned: "Defence was the key for us. We had been informed about how Namur fought as team. This has helped us from the start to impose our rhythm. It was a great atmosphere and we did exactly what our coach told us and so, we got the positive result. "
